2026 Canada-US Tariffs Updates

We understand that recent changes to U.S. tariff policies have made cross-border shopping more confusing. We want to clarify how those changes currently affect orders from Callista Art Lab shipped from Canada to the United States.

Our products are made in Canada

Our products are designed and handmade in Canada. Qualifying Canadian-origin goods can receive preferential tariff treatment under the Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), known in the United States as USMCA. Therefore, you will not see tariffs applied to your orders on checkout.

NOTE: Tariff treatment can depend on the specific product classification and the tariff measure involved. USMCA origin status does not automatically exempt a product from every separate U.S. tariff action. Other duties may still be reflected on checkout based on your state.

Section 338 tariffs

The United States recently imposed additional tariffs (up to 50%) under Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 on certain covered goods from Canada.

Based on the current scope of that measure, our current products are not included in the covered product list and are therefore NOT subject to the additional Section 338 tariff.

This is based on the products we currently sell and their applicable classifications. If we introduce new product types, materials, or product categories, their treatment may be different.

What this means for your order

We ship U.S. order through Chit Chats U.S. Edge. Under the current shipping process, applicable import charges are handled through the shipping service and you do not need to pay an additional Section 338 tariff charge upon delivery.

However, recent tariff and customs changes may lead to additional border reviews or customs processing delays. While we will continue to ship out orders within our usual processing times, delivery may occasionally take longer than the carrier’s estimate.

This information may change

U.S. tariff rules, customs procedures, carrier practices, and the scope of covered products can change quickly. We will monitor developments and update this page, our shipping options, or our policies when needed.
